Worked out from Options Industry Council (OCC), option strategies and expiration outcomes.
Educational estimate of a single long leg held to expiration only. It excludes commissions, taxes, assignment, dividends and any time value before expiry, and is not investment advice.

How this is worked out

4 steps
  1. Intrinsic value = max(S - K, 0) = max(60 - 50, 0) = 10 per share
  2. Shares controlled = multiplier x contracts = 100 x 1 = 100
  3. Profit = (intrinsic - premium) x shares = (10 - 2) x 100 = 800
  4. Break-even underlying price = 50 + 2 = 52
