Knowing which calculators actually help.

• The site now records when somebody uses a calculator rather than only when a page loads. Every page arrives with a worked answer already on it, so a page view never showed whether the calculator was any use.
• What is recorded carries the address of the page and nothing else: no name, no email address, and nothing anyone types into a calculator. Figures you enter stay in your browser.
• Copying embed code is counted too, so we can see which calculators other websites want most and keep those current first.

Every page opens on a worked example.

• Calculators open on a realistic job rather than an empty form — a 32 by 16 foot pool, a 200 square foot kitchen, 50 newton-metres at 3,000 rpm — so you can see the method before entering anything of your own.
• Four pages open on zero because zero is the answer: Florida levies no state income tax, a day below the base temperature earns no cooling degree days, and a patient with no risk factors scores zero on both cardiac indices.
• A test enforces both rules on every release, so a page cannot quietly start opening on nothing.

Cookie consent, asked once.

• Where advertising runs in the EU, the consent message a visitor sees is Google's. The site now listens for that answer and treats it as the answer here too, so accepting once switches everything on and nobody is asked twice on the same page.
• Declining is respected exactly as before: nothing is loaded and nothing is stored.

Related calculators worth following.

• Converters now suggest genuinely related pages. The MPH page offers miles, feet per second and kilometres to miles; the pound-and-ounce page offers ounces to pounds, kilograms to pounds and grams to pounds.
• Related calculators are chosen by what a page is about: the concrete page leads with block, floor and cost concrete pages, and the graduation page with grade, GPA and gradebook.
• The search list on the home page now sits above the page rather than behind it.

Every page describes its own job.

• Each page carries a title, description and Sources block of its own, naming documents a reader can look up. The seventeen game-value and game-currency pages each describe what they convert rather than describing the calculator behind them.
• Names show units and acronyms in their standard form — MPH, MAGI, PSAT, millilitres and ounces. No address changed.
• Frequently-asked answers open with the figures the page itself opens on, then say what changes them.

Nine new calculators.

• Property tax, asphalt, waist-to-hip ratio, waist-to-height ratio, interest-only loan, prorated rent, bond price, LDL cholesterol and digital storage conversion — reachable at 62 addresses in total.
• Each was researched twice, independently, before a line was written. The 180 factors behind the LDL calculation were transcribed from two different sources and agreed on every one; the bond and loan figures were re-derived by a second method.
• LDL shows both the Friedewald and Martin-Hopkins estimates, because they disagree most for the people the older formula serves worst. Bond pricing separates the clean price from what actually settles. Asphalt treats mix density as a figure you supply, because no published figure fits every mix.
• Two calculators researched for this batch were left out: corrected calcium, because three international bodies advised against routine use of it in May, and conduit fill, because it cannot be built without reprinting tables that are not ours to reprint.

Pages answer their own question.

• A page asking "How much is a $400,000 mortgage at 7%?" opens with the figure, then explains what moves it.
• Every page has a meta description of its own, so search results describe the page you would actually arrive on.
• The title in search results and the heading on the page name the same calculator.

A homepage about both things the site does.

• The homepage leads with getting a fast answer and with putting a calculator on your own website, and offers a route to each.
• Hosted embed figures have their own section: update a rate once and every page showing that calculator follows, with nobody editing any HTML.

Stay signed in, and keep your figures while you register.

• Signing in lasts as long as you keep using the site. The session renews on every visit, so coming back no longer means signing in again. Signing out still works, on this browser or everywhere at once.
• A calculation you were saving when you were asked to register survives closing the tab, which is long enough to go and read a confirmation email.
• Looking at the same comparison again is free. Comparisons count per set of scenarios, not per page view, so refreshing or pressing back costs nothing.
• Unfinished calculations left in your browser are cleared once they pass 30 days.

Saving where the decisions are, and corrections that reach everyone.

• Saved scenarios, comparisons and exports work on 560 calculators, including every tax and loan page, mortgages, retirement and the construction estimates.
• Calculator code is versioned all the way down, so a correction reaches people who visited recently instead of waiting behind their browser cache.
• Numbers quoted as exact are left exactly as written: shortening a long figure keeps nine significant digits, so a defined constant is never shown rounded.
• Free accounts can compare two saved scenarios. Comparison is the point of saving.
• Confirming your email signs you in and returns you to what you were doing.

The first impression, and a check on every release.

• The home page leads with what the site is and shows a worked example above the fold.
• Calculator names show acronyms as acronyms: ROAS, BMI, GPA, VAT.
• A content audit now runs with every release and reads the wording of all 1,336 pages, so what a page says is checked as well as whether it works.

Plans, share links and hosted embed figures.

• Every calculator page has "Copy link to this result": the link reopens the page with your figures, with nothing stored on our side.
• Every calculator page says when its worked examples were last re-run.
• Personal subscribers can keep the starting figures and fixed fields of an embedded calculator on their account, so a change made once reaches every page that embeds it.
• An oEmbed endpoint, so editors that support it can embed a calculator from its address.
• The pricing page says who each plan is for and compares all three side by side, and a new page for advisers explains branded reports, clients and per-website embeds.

The Advisor plan.

• Advisor, for people who run the numbers for clients: everything in Personal, plus your own name, contact line and disclaimer on PDF reports and on the pages your private links open.
• Scenarios can be grouped by client, with one PDF for all of a client's calculations.
• One embed token per website, each with its own colour, credit choice and hosted figures.
• Priority support for Advisor accounts, and a one-click move between Personal and Advisor on the same subscription.

Embeds as a first-class feature.

• The embed code places a small "Calculator by CalculatorFox" line in the host page, which also works as a link if the frame cannot load.
• Embed frames are versioned at /embed/v1/<name>; the older /embed/<name> address stays as a permanent alias.
• An embed builder at /embed: pick a calculator, set your own figures, fix fields, copy three lines of code, see a live preview.
• Pages that use dated reference tables (tax, limits, guidelines) say which table and when it was last checked.
• Search understands common phrases ("take home pay"), forgives typos, and shows popular calculators before you type.
• A written commitment that calculator addresses are permanent, at /permanent-urls.
