Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and the choices you have. VISIBILITYOS NETWORK LTD is the data controller.
Calculators
Calculator inputs and results are processed in your browser. They are not sent to us, to analytics or to payment providers, and they are not written to our logs. Public pages carry advertising served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies or similar identifiers as described under Advertising below. We keep server access logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser type) for security and capacity planning for up to 30 days.
Accounts
An account stores your email address, a hashed password, sign-in sessions and security events (such as failed sign-in attempts by IP address, kept for 24 hours). Verification and password emails contain a single-use link.
Saved calculations
When you press Save, the scenario title, the inputs and the result are encrypted with a key we hold before they are written to the database. The same applies to assumption profiles. We can see that you saved something and which calculator it was; we do not read the contents. Private links store only a one-way hash of the link secret; the secret itself stays in the link.
Payments
Card and bank details never reach us. Stripe handle payment. We receive your customer and subscription identifiers, the plan, its status and dates, and refund or dispute events, so that we can grant access and support you. The payment provider's own privacy notice applies to the checkout.
We send account emails (verification, password recovery, and receipts or renewal and cancellation notices through the payment provider) and replies to your support requests. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it, and every marketing email will contain an unsubscribe link.
Legal bases
We process account and billing data to perform our contract with you, security and abuse-prevention data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a safe service, and tax and accounting records because the law requires it. Where consent is needed it can be withdrawn at any time.
Advisor accounts and client details
An Advisor account can label a saved scenario with a client's name and can store a business name, contact line and disclaimer for its reports. Client names are encrypted at rest in the same way as the scenario itself and are shown only to the account holder and on the pages and PDFs that account chooses to send. The adviser decides what to store about a client and is responsible for having a proper basis to do so; we act on the adviser's instructions and do not use client details for any purpose of our own. Hosted embed figures and website tokens contain no personal data.
Sharing
We share data only with the payment provider you chose, our hosting and email delivery providers acting under contract, professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data. Providers outside your country are used only with a recognised legal safeguard such as standard contractual clauses.
Advertising
Public pages show advertisements served by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; Google LLC elsewhere). Google and its certified partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads and, where you consent, to personalise them. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland a consent message appears before any personalised advertising is loaded, and you can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer of that message. You can also manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com and read how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Your calculator inputs and results are never sent to advertisers. Personal subscribers see no advertising.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; Google LLC elsewhere) to count visits and see which calculators are used. Where the law requires consent we ask first and store nothing until you accept; elsewhere Analytics runs by default. IP addresses are anonymised, Google Signals and advertising features are off, and we do not upload any personal data to Analytics. Google's role is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of Analytics everywhere with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Retention
Saved calculations stay until you delete them or until the automatic deletion period you chose (30, 90 or 365 days). Private links expire after 1, 7 or 30 days and never outlive the calculation. Deleting your account deletes saved calculations, profiles, links and sessions immediately. Billing records are kept for six years after the end of the tax year in which the payment was made, as UK tax and accounting law requires, and fraud-prevention records for as long as the payment provider's rules require.
Your rights
You can export your data from the account page and delete the account yourself. You may also ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict data, object to processing, or receive a copy in a portable format, and you can complain to your data protection authority: in the United Kingdom the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), in the European Union the authority of your member state, and elsewhere your national regulator. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the rights to know, delete and correct their data and to opt out of sale or sharing; we do not sell or share personal data for advertising. These rights are honoured for everyone, wherever you live. Write to support@calculatorfox.org; we answer within 30 days.
United States residents: we do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined in state privacy laws (California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others). There is therefore no opt-out to exercise; the rights above apply to you in full and can be exercised at support@calculatorfox.org.
Reporting content and rights concerns
If you believe a page infringes your copyright or trademark, contains a factual error, or uses your name without a basis, email support@calculatorfox.org with the page address and the reason; we acknowledge within two business days and correct, attribute or remove content that should not be there. Formal notices may also be posted to the registered office on the Company information page.
Security
We use encryption in transit, application-level encryption for saved calculations, hashed passwords and tokens, signed payment events, least-privilege database access and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
Changes
Material changes are posted here with a new effective date and announced by email to account holders.
