Cookies
Public pages carry advertising from Google AdSense, which sets advertising cookies and identifiers only in line with the consent message shown to visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and non-personalised measurement cookies elsewhere; the Privacy Policy explains this under Advertising. When you sign in we set strictly necessary cookies: cu-session (keeps you signed in; it lasts 400 days and renews each time you visit, so you stay signed in while you keep using the site, and it is deleted when you sign out), cu-csrf (protects forms against forgery; 8 hours) and, only while you open a private link, cu-share (carries the link for a few minutes). If you press Save before you have an account we also set cu-counted for a day: it holds the single character “1” and stops one visit being counted twice in the totals described below. It identifies nobody. These are required for account features and are not used for tracking.
Apart from those advertising cookies, the site sets no other behavioural cookies except Google Analytics: with your consent in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, and by default elsewhere, Analytics sets _ga and _ga_* cookies (up to 2 years) to count visits and see which calculators are used; IP addresses are anonymised and Google Signals are off. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser, after which the notice appears again. Product measurement is limited to daily server-side counts of actions such as saves and exports that contain no user identifier, email, input or result. Your display-currency preference is stored in your browser's local storage and never sent to us. If you press Save on a calculator before you have an account, the figures you entered are held in your browser's local storage for up to 30 days so they are still there after you register; they stay on your device until you finish saving them, and clearing your browser data removes them. If we add optional analytics in future, this page will describe it and any consent control will appear before it is switched on.
