What the Mileage Reimbursement Calculator calculates
Works out mileage reimbursement or the mileage deduction from miles driven and the IRS optional standard mileage rate for the rate period and purpose (business, medical or moving, or charitable, which is fixed at 14 cents per mile by statute). 2026 is a split year - 72.5 cents business from 1 January and 76 cents from 1 July - so the period the miles were driven in is selectable. Parking and tolls are added separately because they are not covered by the per-mile rate, and where an employer pays a different rate the shortfall or the taxable excess is shown.
