Comma-separated letter grades, one per course.
One per course, in the same order: regular, honors, or ap (AP / IB / dual enrolment).
Credits (units) per course. Leave blank to give every course one unit, the usual high-school convention.
Letter:points pairs, used when the scale above is set to Custom.
Grade points added to an honours course. +0.5 is the common convention; check your district policy.
Maximum bonus points the transcript may earn in total. UC caps honours points at 8. Leave blank for no cap.

How this is worked out

4 steps
  1. Scale: Unweighted 4.0 scale (letters only). Honours bonus +0.5, AP/IB bonus +1.
  2. Unweighted quality points = 13 over 4 credits = 3.25.
  3. Bonus points earned = 1.5.
  4. Weighted GPA = (13 + 1.5) / 4 = 3.625.

The 10-point scale (A 90-100, B 80-89, C 70-79, D 60-69, F below 60) is the dominant US convention; the 7-point scale (A 93-100, B 85-92, C 77-84, D 70-76, F below 70) is used by a minority of districts. Both are published district policy rather than a national standard, so the engine lets the user edit the cut-offs.
